TASKS OF URV SUBPROJECT
The Project has been divided in nine tasks. Five of these tasks are devoted to experimental research, two to management, one to dissemination plan, and one to training plan. The experimental research will be focused in the development and characterization of new active, effective and low cost catalysts for the in-situ generation of H2O2, and their application in the removal of refractory pollutants both from synthetic and real wastewaters. This research will be performed in the labs that the Catheter Group has in the Chemical Engineering department from the URV. It is planned also short stays of members of the research team in the labs of the UEX group. The planned tasks are the following:
Task 200. Project coordination. Assignment and distribution of tasks
Task 201. Literature update
Task 202. Synthesis and characterization of catalysts
Task 203. Application of catalysts developed in task 202 in a Fenton-like process with in-situ generation of H2O2 for the removal of recalcitrant pollutants
Task 204. Application of catalysts developed in task 202 in a photo-Fenton-like process with in-situ generation of H2O2 for the removal of refractory pollutants
Task 205. Application of the best catalysts selected in task 203 in the Fenton and photo-Fenton process with in-situ generated hydrogen peroxide for the treatment of municipal and industrial wastewaters
Task 206. Comparison with other AOPs
Task 207. Dissemination plan
Task 208. Training plan Task 209. Final report
